Everything you need to know about using FinnAdvisor — step-by-step guides, tips, and answers to common questions.
What makes this different
It cites the law, not a vibe
Every analysis names the statute and the court decisions behind it, so you can check it — and so can a lawyer.
It speaks your language
Thirteen languages, including Arabic, Somali, Persian and Ukrainian — the decision is in Finnish, the explanation does not have to be.
It remembers the case
Most tools answer a question and forget you. Your case here keeps its history, its documents and its deadlines in one record.
Your first case analysis is free. Paid packs are one-off purchases, not subscriptions.See what it costs →
FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about FinnAdvisor.
Is FinnAdvisor giving me legal advice?
No. FinnAdvisor gives general legal information, not legal advice. For binding advice on your own case, consult a licensed lawyer (asianajaja) or legal aid (oikeusapu), which is free for those who qualify. FinnAdvisor is an AI tool, not a law firm.
How accurate is the legal information?
FinnAdvisor is built on Finnish law — the Aliens Act (UlkL), the Social Welfare Act, the Employment Contracts Act and others — together with KHO and KKO case law. Always check anything important against the official source before you act on it: migri.fi, kela.fi or finlex.fi.
Is my information private and secure?
FinnAdvisor follows the GDPR. A case you choose to save is stored against your account, encrypted, and deleted 24 months after your last sign-in — one month on the free trial. An analysis you do not save is not kept. We never sell personal data. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Can I use FinnAdvisor for asylum or refugee cases?
Yes. There is a dedicated Asylum & Refugee case type covering international protection, negative Migri decisions, appeals to the administrative court and EU asylum law. It works in Somali, Arabic and Persian, among the other languages.
What documents can FinnAdvisor generate?
FinnAdvisor drafts: oikaisuvaatimus (correction requests), valituskirjelmä (appeals to the administrative court), vahingonkorvausvaatimus (compensation claims), formal complaints to Kela, DVV, TE or Vero, and legal letters to employers and landlords.
Is FinnAdvisor free to use?
FinnAdvisor has four packages: Free Trial (1 case), Starter 50 € (1 case + 10 searches), Standard 135 € (3 cases + 30 searches), and Extra 200 € (5 cases + 80 searches). All paid plans include document generation and are valid for 3 months. The deadline calculator is free on every plan. AI Search and Legal Search are part of the paid packages, in the amounts listed above; the Free Trial does not include them.
What happens to my documents?
They stay in your case, behind your login, on EU servers. Delete the case and its documents, discussion and history go with it. Our emails never contain your analysis or your documents.
Do I need an account to try it?
Yes — a free account. It takes an email address and no card. The account is what makes your free analysis yours: the case stays in the browser you used, and is kept for a month. Saving it to your account and opening it from any device are included with the paid packages.
Can it help with my kind of case?
Thirty-two case types across seven areas — residence permits, benefits, work, family, housing, education and legal rights. If your situation is not one of them, the analysis will tell you so rather than guess.
How is AI Search different from Google?
Unlike a search engine, which returns links, AI Search reads your question and answers it in the context of Finnish law. It identifies the authority responsible, gives a structured answer with the applicable provisions, links to the official sources, and tells you the next step — in your language.
Legal Search has two tabs. Finnish Laws & Court Decisions (Finnish, Swedish and English) covers acts such as UlkL, KotoutumisL and YVL with the KHO and KKO decisions linked to them. EU Laws & ECHR Decisions (English only) covers directives, regulations and Strasbourg case law. Each tab lets you search, filter by category and page through the results.
